Death of Daredevil Leads to Man Without Fear Weekly Series

Now that Marvel has announced the Death of Daredevil, which starts this month, the company has also gained interest during NYCC by announcing Man Without Fear. A slogan usually used to describe Daredevil, this will be the title for an upcoming weekly series that will deal with the fallout from Matt Murdock's supposed death. The series is expected to debut sometime in January, with writer Jed Mackay and artist Danilo S. Beyruth.

As of this writing, the series' length has yet to be announced and we don't know who will be a part of the weekly comic book. Easy suspects are characters like Foggy Nelson and Matt's new apprentice Blindspot, who has been around since Charles Soule started writing the series in 2015.

Judging from the fact that we're getting a weekly series, it looks like Matt Murdock could actually be dying during the Death of Daredevil storyline. The death won't be a permanent one, given the nature of serial comic books, but it should be an impactful one for these street heroes.

Wolverine also received a weekly series that took place after his death called Wolverines, along with a number of mini-series' and one-shots that dealt with the fallout. Captain America also had a number of one-shots that dealt with his death, while his ongoing series kept going with Bucky as the lead.

Death of Daredevil starts with this month's Daredevil #609 and #610, with the conclusion coming in November's Daredevil #611 and #612.
