Deadpool Villain Reacts to Hugh Jackman's Return as Wolverine

There is little doubt that people are thrilled now that it has been confirmed that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Not surprisingly, even the former stars of the franchise are loving the news. Ed Skrein, who has previously played the villain in the first Deadpool film, shared his thoughts on Wolverine's upcoming team-up with the Merc with a Mouth.

Ed Skrein recently spoke to ComicBookMovie, where he was asked if it was possible that Ajax will also return in Deadpool 3. The former Game of Thrones actor pointed out that although he loves the idea of being in the sequel, Skrein is already satisfied to have been part of the franchise.

"These things are…it was a privilege to be part of number one, dude," Skrein said. "I would be so happy to leave it as what it is. It would be the happiest thing ever to just move on and I'd be super happy to go back."

"It's all love and it’s all good," he added before pointing out that Deadpool 3 already has an excellent team with Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, and Shawn Levy.

"They’ve got a great team between Hugh, Ryan, and Shawn. They've got an incredible team. I’ll be there in the first week with my popcorn and I'll just be there as a fan," Skrein stated.

In Deadpool, Ajax was the one who injected Wade Wilson with the serum that activates a superhuman healing ability within the future Deadpool. However, it also disfigures him and once Wade escapes, he goes after Ajax to find a cure.

Deadpool 3 has not yet been given an official release date but is already expected to begin production soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
