Deadpool Shares A Moment With Hugh Jackman In The Star’s Birthday Post To Ryan Reynolds

It's Ryan Reynold's birthday today, and it looks like 20th Century Fox's Merc with a Mouth got a special greeting from his best friend and arch-nemesis, the former Wolverine, Hugh Jackman.

Taking to social media early today, Jackman decided to share a photo of himself together with the Deadpool star on Twitter. In the image, fans get to see the Logan actor giving his best friend a nice big hug on what seems to be the set of a Deadpool movie. Dressed up in his outfit as everyone's favorite brassy Merc with a Mouth, Reynolds reciprocates with his arms around his pal.

"Because I'm told that I AM THE NICEST GUY and you're NOT," Jackman decided to write in his birthday post "[Ryan Reynolds]... I will let you hug me. Just this once. On your birthday."

It's a pretty interesting moment – one that might reignite fans hopes of seeing Wolverine teaming up together with Deadpool in a new comic book movie. Reynolds has been rather open about his attempts to lure Jackman into his Deadpool movies, asking the actor time and time again whether he'd want to mess around with Marvel's Regenerating Degenerate. Unfortunately, time and time again, Jackman's turned down the offer and so the only time that fans get to see Logan and Wade Wilson together is in the end credits scene for Deadpool 2.

Of course, fans could still hope for even more shared scenes between the two Marvel mutants. After all, Drew Goddard still has his X-Force movie on the way.
