"Nickelback sucks this," "Nickelback is bad music that," Deadpool is here to tell you that all of your senseless Nickelback hating is wrong and it makes for a hilarious new trailer for Once Upon a Deadpool. The PG-13 cut of the R-rated classic has been delivering a number of fairly entertaining trailers and this is up there with them, proving that Fox-Marvel isn't subpar and neither is Nickelback.
Fred Savage, still in bed as an adult, tells Deadpool that his movie isn't really Marvel, comparing Fox-Marvel movies to The Beatles being produced by Nickelback. To Deadpool, this is a line that has been crossed and he goes on to tell us all of the awards that the Canadian rock band has won, with Savage soon being apologetic for his actions.
Thankfully, this trailer ends on a lighter note, with Savage and Deadpool singing This is How You Remind Me, easily Nickelback's biggest hit. As someone who has always described himself as a Nickelback apologist, this trailer did make me fairly happy and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who likes the band.
With Fox soon being owned by Disney, it seems like these potshots at Fox-Marvel films not being "real" Marvel movies are going to end. Will quality X-Men and Fantastic Four movies make up for the fact that Hollywood is slowly losing movie studios that would compete with others for a booming economy? You decide.
Once Upon a Deadpool comes out on December 12.
