Marvel Studios may have failed fans following this year's D23 Expo but Ryan Reynolds sure saved the day (and broke the internet while doing so) with his massive Deadpool 3 announcement. In case you've been living under a rock the last couple of days, the Merc with a Mouth won't be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe alone and after years of teasing, Wade Wilson is finally teaming up with Wolverine played by the returning Hugh Jackman.
The duo pretty much confirmed the news on social media and would later address some of the concerns fans may have with Logan's return. In an explanation video they posted on Wednesday, Reynolds and Jackman answered some of the fans' burning questions about Deadpool 3 but not without pulling some tricks on all of us. A good part of the video was actually inaudible, masked by music from iconic '80s band Wham! and it became hard to tell what they were actually discussing.
Well, just when they thought they've outsmarted the fandom, a fan went out of his way to decode the "secret" message through lip reading. Of course, we're not entirely sure if it's in fact 100% accurate but we somehow got the gist of what the dynamic duo said thanks to his "maximum effort". See what we did there? Check it out here:

Things just got a lot wilder in the MCU and major props to Kevin Feige for pulling a huge shocker. It'll be interesting to see how this whole Deadpool and Wolverine team-up will affect the studio's plans for the arrival of the mutants but I don't really see Jackman playing the main timeline's version of Logan. If anything, it's all fan service so we just have to enjoy the ride.
Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 hits cinemas on September 6, 2024.
