A lot of MCU fans are looking forward to Deadpool 3 which is seemingly going to be one of the franchise's biggest films to date based on the rumors that we're hearing regarding its plot details and the potential cameos that we will see.

So far, only Jennifer Garner's Elektra is confirmed to be making a special appearance in the film aside from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who is expected to have a major role and the co-lead with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool.

One of the rumors that have surfaced surrounding the film is the return of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, who is reportedly going to show up as the Earth-838 variant following up on her appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

None of the people involved in the film has confirmed the rumor, but a lot of fans online have shown their excitement toward Olsen's potential MCU return next year.

Now, a recent report from insider CanWeGetSomeToast on X has claimed that Wanda Maximoff's rumored appearance in Deadpool 3 is not true after all and warned their followers to not believe the alleged plot leaks that are coming from 4chan.

"Sorry Wanda fans, neither The Scarlet Witch NOR Wanda-838 will be appearing in #Deadpool3. Don’t believe everything you read off 4chan…," they wrote in their post.

While the film may return to Earth-838 and explore the events that have happened since the killing of the Illuminati members as shown in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it looks like we won't be expecting an appearance from that universe's variant of Wanda based on this scoop.

There have been rumors, however, that Ian McKellen will be reprising his role of Magneto in the film and perhaps he might turn out to be the actual villain instead when Deadpool and Wolverine visit Earth-838.

So far, according to the official reports, Emma Corrtin will be playing the antagonist and rumors have claimed that their role is said to be Cassandra Nova. Insiders have warned that their alleged villainous role is just a diversion to the real one.

Either way, fans should no longer expect a special appearance from Olsen and it sounds like the cameos will center mostly on the legacy characters from the past Fox Marvel movies instead of the familiar ones that we have seen in the MCU.

Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
