23 years after he made his Wolverine debut in the original X-Men film, Hugh Jackman is finally donning his character's iconic costume for his first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance.
Jackman, along with Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds broke the internet yet again after unveiling Logan's MCU costume which looks very faithful to how the beloved mutant looks in the comics and animated shows.
However, some fans aren't particularly thrilled with how Jackman is sporting a full-sleeved look for his costume upgrade when Wolverine has always been designed the other way around.
Well, it turns out that there's a reason why Marvel Studios opted to go for a slightly different look for Wolverine and if you've been following the actor's life outside Hollywood, you would totally understand the decision.
Deadpool 3: Here's Why Hugh Jackman is Wearing a Full-Sleeved Wolverine Costume
As pointed out by Twitter user @B0zzman_, Jackman is susceptible to skin cancer, and the studio's decision to go with a full-sleeved look for Wolverine most likely has something to do with his previous health scare.
The Australian star's decade-long struggle with skin cancer is well-documented. He had his first skin cancer removed in 2013 and the actor has since undergone several procedures to have it treated.
Just last April, the 54-year-old actor shared on social media that he was undergoing tests for his skin condition. Jackman reassured fans that it was nothing serious and urged them to always wear sunscreen.

If we're being honest, some fans are just trying to look for something to complain about. Wolverine having a full-sleeved look isn't something I'd lose sleep over and if anything, I'm just so happy that he's finally getting a costume that is actually accurate compared to the ones he donned previously.
Deadpool 3's release date has been moved up from Nov. 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024.
