Everyone is still waiting for Disney and Marvel Studios to announce Deadpool 3 but the cast of the previous two films are already imagining what will happen in the highly anticipated sequel. For instance, Morena Baccarin is already hoping for Vanessa Carlysle to be introduced as Copycat.
Baccarin played Wade Wilson's beloved Vanessa in the first two movies by 20th Century Fox but it is still unclear if she will be back in Deadpool 3. Nevertheless, the Gotham actress admitted to AV Club that she is hoping to return either as Vanessa or as Copycat.
"I love both of those ideas," Baccarin admitted before pointing out a little problem. "If you do Copycat, then you do mess up the relationship between Wade and Vanessa a little bit, because I think that at that point they were kind of at odds, but maybe there's an opportunity there to make it a little bit different."
Although we're certainly hoping to see a new side of Vanessa in the movie, Baccarin stated that she doesn't mind how her character returns as long as she could continue working on more Deadpool movies.
"It would be fun to see her transform for sure, but I would just be thrilled to come back in any form for those movies because it was such a blast to work on," she said.
We're certainly looking forward to seeing more of Vanessa or Copycat in the future. However, it is important to point out that Deadpool 3 has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, we are crossing our fingers that an announcement will be made soon.
