Deadpool 3 has been generating major buzz over the last couple of weeks, especially after Hugh Jackman's comic-accurate Wolverine costume made the rounds online courtesy of lead star Ryan Reynolds.

The film which marks the Merc with a Mouth's long-awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe debut has been the subject of several hot rumors and according to the latest reports, it will include multiple cameos that could rival or even exceed Spider-Man: No Way Home's cameo count.

From the stars of the original X-Men films to Ben Affleck reportedly suiting up once again as Daredevil, Deadpool 3 is already looking like a massive treat for Marvel fans. However, one legacy Marvel character might not appear in the film.

A report from Geekosity made the rounds on social media this week, claiming that Wesley Snipes is set to return to the Marvel Universe as Blade in Deadpool 3. The alleged scoop was quickly dismissed by Twitter user Caiden Reed who said the film will only feature characters from the FoxVerse, noting that the Blade trilogy was under Sony.

Tipster MyTimeToShineHello retweeted Reed's post, adding that Reynolds and Halle Berry, who's also rumored to reprise her role as Storm in Deadpool 3 have a "bad history" with Snipes.

For the uninitiated, the two actors worked together in Blade Trinity and according to Reynolds himself, Snipes despised him during filming.

While the latter never revealed the reason behind their tension-filled working relationship, reports speculate that it's due to Reynolds attempting to him to break character between takes.

It's safe to say that they've never buried the hatchet and obviously, that prevents the original daywalker from setting foot in the MCU, at least not on Wade Wilson's watch.

Deadpool 3's release date has been moved up from Nov. 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024.
