For the past several months, even before production started prior to the actors' strike, we've been hearing a lot of casting rumors surrounding the various past Marvel actors who will reportedly appear in the highly-anticipated MCU film Deadpool 3.
According to the scoops from insiders, several actors from the Fox Marvel movies will be making an appearance in the vein of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
So far, only Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Jennifer Garner's Elektra are confirmed to be the major Fox Marvel movies that are appearing in the film and it is certain that we will be hearing more names as we're getting closer to its release.
Other names that we've also heard who are rumored to appear are Taylor Swift (who is busy right now on her Eras Tour) and Channing Tatum, who will reportedly finally make his long-gestated appearance as Gambit.
Marvel Studios has not commented yet on the rumors as of this time, but fans can't help but wonder if there is some validity to those rumors. Now, the director of the film himself has finally broken his silence.
Shawn Levy Addresses the Deadpool 3 Casting Rumors
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Shawn Levy addressed the various wild casting rumors on Deadpool 3 that have surfaced around the web.
While he didn't mention any specific names in his comment, he did tease that some of the casting rumors that we're hearing are true while some of them are not.
"I'd rather not weigh in on that, but I'll say this. The rumors of actors, singers, sports stars who are all apparently in Deadpool 3 are fabulous," Levy said.
"If all I read was the internet, I would have the greatest cast ever assembled in the history of cinema, so I'll simply say that some of those rumors are true, and some of them aren't."
This is an interesting and exciting tease for fans since we now have a word from the director himself that some of the rumors that we're hearing are valid after all and it is likely that those names are the ones that frequently co-starred with Jackman in the X-Men movies.
It is also more definitive now that they have a lot of surprises in store in the upcoming film and Levy himself is also having fun now with the rumors and scoops that have surfaced for the past several months.

Since the production is currently suspended as a result of the strike, it might take a while before we'll hear any confirmation about the other past Fox Marvel actors who will show up in the film.
Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
