Deadpool 3 Could Still be R-Rated Because of Surprising Twist, Says Rhett Reese

Have you been wondering what will happen to Deadpool 3 now that it's a Disney property? Fans have been worried that the third film could end up being a watered-down version of the first two movies. However, Rhett Reese insists that there's a good chance that the sequel could become the first R-rated Disney flick.

Reese, who co-wrote the screenplay of the first Deadpool film with Paul Wernick, recently spoke to Screenrant about what could happen to the third movie. Interestingly, Reese has high hopes for Deadpool 3 because of an interesting theory.

"Absolutely, because I don't think it'll be under the Disney banner," Reese said. "Like, I don't think when you go to Deadpool 3, there's going to be a Magic Castle that appears. I think it's going to be under the Fox banner, so yes."

Well, we never really thought of that although Reese has a point. There is a possibility that Disney could continue releasing films under the Fox banner, which should allow Deadpool 3 more freedom.

For now, it still unclear if this could be part of Disney's plans. However, there's a possibility we will find out soon whether the House of Mouse will be releasing movies under the Fox banner. The truth can be revealed when the Fox-produced flick The New Mutants is released later this year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Deadpool 3 has not yet been officially announced by Disney or Marvel.
