The Deadpool 2 marketing has shown us many things for fans to be excited about, but one of the breakout stars is supposedly average Peter who becomes a member of the X-Force on a whim. Everyone loves him, and the cosplay has already started.
Ryan Reynolds shares one of the earliest cosplay attempts at Peter:
Some fans are actually guessing that Peter here is more than meets the eye and is actually Pete Wisdom from the comics. Wisdom is actually a spy in the comics, skilled in espionage and information gathering. He's also a mutant with the power to absorb solar radiation and release them from his fingertips as "hot knives."
Speaking of Wisdom's powers of solar absorption, it's interesting that we see Peter in the trailers being insistent on putting on sun block before jumping off the plane. It could be a throw-away joke on how dorky he is, but if the guess is right that he's a mutant, then it would have been some clever foreshadowing on the writers' part.
Is Peter "Pete Wisdom"? I guess we'll just have to watch the movie to find out.
