Following the first cour’s final episode, Dead Mount Death Play revealed the opening and ending themes of its second cour, and they will be performed by Misaki and Takumi’s voice actors.
Instead of just being a one-cour show like most of this season’s anime, Dead Mount Death Play is a 2-cour series, with the show’s second half continuing later this year.
The selection of its VAs as the opening and ending performers makes sense given that Misaki’s voice actress already performed the ending for the first part.
Dead Mount Death Play: An Interesting Reverse Isekai
The Spring 2023 season was filled with a lot of big hits, with shows such as Oshi no Ko and Demon Slayer being among the most talked-about.
There are also other surprise hits like Skip and Loafer, as well as The Dangers in My Heart.
Dead Mount Death Play is another Spring 23 anime, though it wasn’t exactly as talked about as some of the other shows mentioned above.
Despite this, the show has gained a dedicated following thanks to its reverse isekai premise that’s rather reminiscent of shows like The Devil Is a Part-Timer!
Specifically, the show follows the Corpse God from another world who reincarnates in another world before he was to be finished off. He then awakes to find himself in modern-day Shinjuku.
There, he reincarnates as Polka Shinoyama, a boy who was murdered by the hitman Misaki Sakimiya.
Soon, the Corpse God takes on the identity of Polka as he wishes for a more peaceful life.

Dead Mount Death Play OP and ED Singers Revealed
After the first cour's finale, Dead Mount Death Play revealed that the second cour will feature the new opening song titled Scrap Art, which will be performed by Inori Minase, the voice actress of Misaki.
Minase also performed the ending song for the first cour. While she’s a capable singer, Minase is best known for her prolific voice-acting career.
After all, Minase is also the voice of popular characters such as Rem from Re:Zero, Hestia in DanMachi, and Itsuki in The Quintessential Quintuplets, among others.
Meanwhile, the second cour's ending is titled Hope, and it will be performed by Yuma Uchida, another popular VA.
Uchida voices Takumi in Dead Mount Death Play, but he is also known for voicing Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Dead Mount Death Play will return with Part 2 of its first season in Fall 2023.
