Fans may have been left wanting more after Dead Mount Death Play’s 12th episode, but at least, it’s not a long wait before its next episode. That’s because Dead Mount Death Play is confirmed to return with Part 2 in October.
The show’s second cour was revealed previously, though at the time, only its Fall 23 release window was confirmed.
Finally, the anime announced its official release date alongside a brand-new teaser video, which was shared on its official channels.
Dead Mount Death Play 2nd Half Gets New Teaser Video
Spring 23 was a stacked anime season, featuring many popular shows like Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc and Oshi no Ko.
Dead Mount Death Play is another notable anime that aired during Spring 23, though it didn’t get as much attention as the heavy hitters that season. Still, it got attention from some anime fans thanks to its dark fantasy story.

The show’s new opening song is titled Scrap Art and is performed by Inori Minase, the famous voice actress who plays Misaki Sakimiya in the anime. Minase also performed the ending song for the first cour.
Meanwhile, the new ending theme is titled Hope and is performed by Yuma Uchida. Much like Minase, Uchida is also a voice actor for the anime, and he specifically voices one of the main characters, Takumi Kuruya.

Dead Mount Death Play Part 2 Reveals October 2023 Release Date
Despite being part of the same season, the second cour of Dead Mount Death Play features a new director. The show’s previous director was Manabu Ono, the director of Sword Art Online: Alicization.
Replacing Ono is Yoshihiro Satsuma from the anime studio, Geek Toys. This studio is perhaps best known for shows like Hensuki and Date A Live IV.

Dead Mount Death Play Part 2 (or cour 2) will be released in Japan on October 9, 2023, at 24:00 (effectively October 10 in Japan time). It will air on Tokyo MX and BS11.
Crunchyroll streams the show’s first cour, and it is expected that new episodes from the second cour will stream on the platform shortly after their Japanese broadcast dates.
