Zachary Levi has been generating a ton of buzz online over the last 24 hours but not for good reason. The Shazam! Fury of the Gods star is currently facing accusations of anti-vax support after responding to a tweet that stirs criticism against the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, one of the first corporations to develop COVID-19 vaccines.

On Twitter, the actor retweeted a post from user Lyndon Wood asking his followers whether or not pharmaceutical company Pfizer is "a real danger to the world". Zachary would then agree to the post which sparked a massive outcry online.

Levi, an avid user of social media has been using the platform to engage with his followers. He would also often post stuff that ranges from funny to inspirational but this is the first time his opinion has stirred controversy. Naturally, it came as a huge shocker to his fans who believe his DCU career is in jeopardy following the anti-vax allegations.

On Twitter, DCU fans aired this dismay and many of them are convinced that his post will have serious repercussions under James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU regime. What do you think? Check out some of the reactions below:

Considering Shazam! Fury of the Gods' theatrical release is just around the corner, the timing of Levi's controversial post is incredibly bad and it won't do him any favors with his DCU future still hanging in the balance. In his defense, his tweet was probably just taken out of context because he never said anything about vaccines but at the end of the day, he must avoid controversy if he wants to keep his superhero gig.

DC's Shazam! Fury of the Gods is hitting cinemas on March 17.
