DC's Darkseid Can Reportedly Defeat Marvel's Thanos Even With Infinity Gauntlet

We already know that Thanos is capable of wiping out half of the universe with the snap of his fingers, thanks to the Infinity Gauntlet. However, the Marvel comics baddie is reportedly still no match to a DC supervillain.

The YouTube channel Screw Attack recently decided to pit the Mad Titan against Darkseid in their latest Death Battle. The video explores what would happen if the two heavyweights go head-to-head and it goes pretty deep, citing their history, background, and superpowers.

The video points out that Thanos certainly can pack a punch considering that he actually caused a planet to explode with his fist. In addition to that, the Infinity Gauntlet made him virtually indestructible, which should explain why he didn't need his armor for most of Avengers: Infinity War. Meanwhile, Darkseid is a New God who can manipulate matter, change his own size, and the powerful bio-electric energy beams known as Omega Beams.

It doesn't take long to realize that the supreme monarch of Apokolips doesn't have to work too hard to defeat Thanos. However, the video also mentions the possibility that Thanos has a chance if he faces Darkseid in his own universe. Nevertheless, it's still possible that Darkseid will only send a copy to go up against the Mad Titan and remain safe in his universe.

In conclusion, the video declares that Darkseid will win the fight with barely any effort. "Thanos needed the Gauntlet to become a god. Darkseid already was one," the video points out.

In the real world, Thanos somehow wins since he's already expected to return in Avengers: Endgame, which premieres on April 26, 2019. Darkseid has yet to make his big screen debut but the villain could pop up really soon.
