At the end of episode 11, Brother Blood summons Trigon and kills Conner. Rachel projects herself to the Temple and asks Sebastian why he summoned Trigon knowing that he can’t be trusted.

Sebastian responds that Trigon has something he needs. He then rips Trigon’s heart out and kills him. Sebastian then tells Rachel that she’s the only family he has left and that they should join forces against the world.

Rachel refuses, and Brother Blood drinks blood from the heart of Trigon. Brother Blood proceeds to S.T.A.R. Labs and kills employees while searching for a secret wormhole gateway, the Icarus Lab.

Bernard explains to the team that “S.T.A.R. Labs has always been about the betterment of mankind” and that they always debate their research and development and the possible consequences of their actions.

He further says that “Project Icarus is as close to the line as we’ve ever gone.” Bernard explains that the Icarus Gate can be controlled and that it allows any object to be sent anywhere in the universe, "from something as small as a single atom to as large as an entire planet."

However, he says that there isn’t enough energy on Earth that could power it. Starfire realizes that Brother Blood wants to use the Icarus Gate to destroy Earth and Tamaran, so she decides to face Sebastian alone.

The Titans arrive at S.T.A.R. Labs and Starfire gets to Brother Blood first. Sebastian says that Starfire is the only person on Earth who can power the Gate and that once the Gate is fully charged, he would “send this garbage-covered excuse for a planet hurtling through space to destroy a diamond.”

Starfire says that destroying Earth and Tamaran was Trigon’s goal, not Sebastian’s. Sebastian responds that murdering someone and drinking their blood from their heart allows a person to know them better.

Sebastian shares that Trigon’s deepest fear was the people of Earth and Tamaran joining forces because if that would happen, they would be unbeatable. Thus, Sebastian refuses to let anyone have power over him.

Starfire says that she does not want to help Sebastian, but the latter connects her to the Gate to power it. The Titans arrive and Raven saves Starfire.

They all struggle to beat Brother Blood, and when the latter chokes Dick, he yells that they can’t beat him. Dick responds “No. But he can.” Superboy arrives and defeats Brother Blood.

Brother Blood killed Superboy before the finale, so Conner was technically dead. When Rachel finds out about this, the Titans retrieve his body and attempt to revive him using Red Kryptonite.

Dick explains that S.T.A.R. Labs designed Red Kryptonite combined with nitroglycerin and epinephrine to stabilize Kal-El/Superman if the worst happened. Dick then injects Superboy with the Red Kryptonite.

While in the comics, Red Kryptonite causes strange transformations both in body and personality on Kryptonians, it appears that in DC’s Titans, Red Kryptonite combined with other chemicals can bring a Kryptonian back to life.

With Superboy’s help, the Titans were able to defeat Brother Blood.

After defeating Brother Blood, Dick says that everything’s over, including the prophecies and the story. He then suggests that they toss Brother Blood to the Icarus Gate and blast him back to the other side of the universe.

However, Starfire says that he might just come back stronger. Brother Blood wakes up and yells that this is his story and the Titans don’t get to be the heroes.

Starfire ultimately chooses to sacrifice herself and brings Brother Blood up to the sky and unleashes an energy blast that would kill Brother Blood for good.

The Titans think Starfire's gone and they start to leave, except for Dick. A few minutes later, Starfire returns, and Dick is relieved. Nightwing says “I thought I’d lost you” and Starfire responds “Me too.” Dick and Kory then share a kiss.

The Titans series finale does not offer a clear explanation as to how Starfire survived. However, it can be recalled that Starfire has always been surrounded by prophecies.

In Season 1, there was a Tamaranean prophecy that said Starfire would defeat the child of Trigon (which, in this case, is Sebastian Sanger). Additionally, in “Caul’s Folly”, when Dick and Kory visit an expert on extraterrestrial languages, the latter says that Starfire’s light when used in full power can end everything, but “it will end you. You as you are now.”

It must be noted that when Starfire comes back, her powers change from blue to orange. All of these suggest that Starfire isn’t meant to die, but she’s only gonna go through a transformation and changes.

Conner decides to go back to Metropolis, spend time with Superman, and get flying lessons. He and Dick talk alone and Conner shares that he’s not the same guy who Clark wanted to meet.

Dick says that he should ask himself if he did all the things he did for himself or for other people. While Conner says that it doesn’t matter, Dick suggests that the “why” part is important because real bad guys never ask that question.

After the Titans finish dinner and go their separate ways, Dick and Kory go for a late-night walk. Dick asks Kory if she remembers what Sebastian said about humans and Tamaraneans getting together.

Kory responds “that if they ever did, they’d be unstoppable.” Dick then says that they should get on that.

While it’s sad to see the Titans part ways at the end of DC's Titans, at least we know that they will always be “Titans forever.”
