However, another individual is taking the spotlight amidst the highly-publicized trial and that's none other than Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez. The 38-year-old attorney gained mainstream attention thanks to her constantly roasting the Aquaman actress during the trial and has seemingly become a hero in the eyes of many.

Vasquez has become a social media sensation with her no holds barred remarks against the actress and in a shocking turn of events, the DC Extended Universe fandom has apparently kickstarted a movement for her to replace Amber as the Queen of Atlantis.

Believe it or not, there's an ongoing petition on Change.org which calls for Warner Bros. and DC Films to cast Vasquez as the franchise's new Mera after Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The said petition was only created this week but is already gaining quite the traction with over 2,000 signatures.

The trial may have reached its end but the final verdict has yet to be announced. As for Amber's DCEU tenure, whether she wins the case or not, it would be safe to assume that her time in the franchise is coming to an end. I mean, even after the dust settles, the hate towards the actress isn't going to die down any time soon.

That said, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's theatrical release has been rescheduled to March 17, 2023.
