Warner Brothers has been forced to push back the release dates of some of its most highly-anticipated DC Extended Universe movies today, and it looks like the news has left the DC fanbase a tad bit frazzled.

Pushing back its slate in light of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Warner Brothers just recently announced new release dates for upcoming DC movies like Shazam!, The Flash, and The Batman.

Canceling the June 25, 2021 release date, Warner Brothers had reassigned The Batman to premiere on October 2021. The studio then bumped up The Flash for a month, listing down the film for a release on June 3, 2022 instead of July 4, 2022. Shazam! on the other hand had been delayed from its April 1, 2022 release to November 4, 2022.

While these changes have all been made because of the spread of the deadly COVID-19, DC fans couldn't help but express concern over the movies' delayed release.

Taking to Twitter, fans have begun discussing the shake-up, expressing some concern over the delayed release of much later films like The Flash and Shazam! 2.

We understand why fans would be worried about The Flash and Shazam! 2. There have been multiple rumors about Warner Brothers cancelling The Flash after Ezra Miller's controversial video made its way online. The DC Extended Universe star had been filmed choking a DC fan, and while details about the incident revealed that Miller had been accosted by a group of pushy fans, it didn't really exempt the actor from the backlash of the public.

Let's hope that these delays have more to do with the coronavirus than with internal turmoil over at WB.
