DC Fans are Freaking Out Over Non-CGI Fear Gas Suit in Batman Begins

It's been a while since Christopher Nolan released his Dark Knight trilogy, but it looks like fans are all talking about Batman Begins again.

While the 2005 Batman movie reboot wasn't the most financially successful entry in the Dark Knight's live-action history, the film was pretty well received by fans and by critics with many praising the film for being exciting and smart while being brooding and dark. One particular scene in the movie that fans easily remember is when Batman (Christina Bale) sprays Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) with the villain's own fear gas, giving him a taste of his own medicine. The scene is terrifying and nightmare-inducing – especially when we get to see what Batman looks like in the point of view of Scare Crow affected by the fear gas.

While most fans believed that the scene was computer-generated, behind-the-scenes footage shows Bale in full fear gas armor, scaring Scarecrow out of his mind.

The tweet has gotten more than 8 thousand likes on Twitter with more than 2 thousand conversations on the social media site. Fans talking about that scene can't believe that the fear gas armor wasn't made out of CGI, gushing over the dedication that Nolan had when he made the movie. Fans wished that the fear gas armor had been used more, lamenting that the suit is probably collecting dust in a warehouse somewhere.

The next Batman movie, The Batman, is set to release on June 25, 2021.
