DC Announces New Content for Action Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition

Action Comics #1000 was a huge success for DC Comics and proved to be a great celebration worthy of Superman's legacy. Featuring stories from Dan Jurgens, Peter Tomasi, Brian Michael Bendis, and so much more, it did a good job of reminding fans why they liked the Man of Steel so much in the first place.

This Fall, DC will release Action Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition, a hardcover version of the epic 80-page giant with additional features that will make fans giddy. Not only will it have all of the stories from the one-shot, along with a variant cover gallery, but it will also have scripts, sketches, and additional stories.

One epic bonus that will be in this hardcover are the scripts for each story. There will also be a side by side panel/page comparison of Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's Never-Ending Battle story, which was a pure visual delight in the original comic.

In addition to these, it was also confirmed that The Game, a short story from Paul Levitz and Neal Adams, would be a part of the hardcover. This story was originally a part of the companion hardcover Action Comics: 80 Years of Superman, so fans who missed out on that can get it here.
