David Ramsey Shares Promising Update on CW's Justice U Series

David Ramsey remained as a staple in the Arrowverse even after Arrow ended as he pops up for guest appearances and directed episodes of the shows in the franchise. Earlier this year, news came that he is attached to star in his own series titled Justice U although we haven't heard any updates about the project ever since.

Now, speaking recently with TVLine, Ramsey shared some promising updates on the development of Justice U where he confirmed that it is still currently in the works and that they're currently working on a script as they just recently closed a deal with a writer.

"We’re on the second draft of a script, and we just closed the deal on a writer. I’m not sure I can say her name, so I won’t, but we’re very close to submitting our second draft. It’s still in development, and we’re moving forward," he said.

With all the changes that are happening in both The CW and the Arrowverse franchise itself, some fans have been wondering about whether the project is still happening. Now, it looks like we should expect it to remain in the works and there is still movement on its development.

However, the series has still has not been given an official greenlight by the network so there is still a possibility that it won't end up happening. For now, it looks like the Arrowverse franchise still has a future with the existence of Justice U being in development as of the moment.

The project's logline reads: "After spending years fighting alongside masked heroes, John Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young metahumans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow."
