Dave Filoni Thinks The Mandalorian Fans Will be Divided in the Finale

Since it premiered its third season, The Mandalorian has been a center of criticism from both critics and fans, from the issue of Din Djarin and Grogu being sidelined in their show to the disappointment of having the quality of the Disney+ series reduced this time around.

Now that there are only a few episodes left since the season finale, one of the show's creators, Dave Filoni, revealed that viewers will have mixed reactions once the ending hits their screens.

In a recent interview with Collider during Star Wars Celebration, Filoni said that the season 3 finale will give fans many things to think about. “They’ll have a lot to take in, and I think with any good ending there’s the moment you’re in it when you’re cheering and you feel satisfied, but then there’s a little bit after that where you think back at all the things that happened,”

Filoni continued, “Maybe you start to put them together in a different way and you realize it’s an ending, but other things are happening out there in the galaxy that now you know more about.”

Meanwhile, Brendan Wayne, one of the show's actors, teased in an Instagram story what to expect in the upcoming finale, highlighting the gloominess that it might bring to the viewers.

“This next episode is gonna make you wish you hadn’t asked for more… it might just hurt too much.” Wayne wrote.

Despite season 3 of The Mandalorian coming to an end next week, there are many Star Wars things to be excited about from here on, television and film content-wise.

The Ahsoka live-action series is set for an August premiere and has also recently revealed some of the cast that will headline the show.

Additionally, the first Star Wars production set to be in the High Republic era, The Acolyte, is set to be released next year, while Skeleton Crew lands later this year.

The Mandalorian Season 3 finale will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, April 19.
