Dark Phoenix’s Sophie Turner Sceptical Of The X-Men Joining The MCU

Marvel fans might be all gung-ho over the thought of seeing the X-Men, Fantastic Four and all the other 20th Century Fox mutants making their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the Disney-Fox merger, however, it seems like X-Men: Dark Phoenix star Sophie Turner isn't too keen on the idea.

Turner just recently attended this year's New York Comic Con to help promote her upcoming X-Men movie, and during her panel, Entertainment Weekly (via News Week) asked her about her time on set. The actress was also asked about the possibility of the X-Men heading over to Marvel, and while the actress is curious about what it would be like moving to the MCU, she's not quite sure about the idea.

"I don't know. I feel the complexities of the X-Men being shunned by society and segregated is not something that happens in the Avengers universe. Of course, I want to see them crossover but I don't think the themes through X-Men will collaborate well with the Avengers. It'll be very different. If they do it, I'd love to see how it turns out."

Of course, things will definitely change of the X-Men make their way to the MCU, but then again fans are hoping that Marvel will make the franchise better. The X-Men films have had a rather mixed reception from fans and critics, with some movies going on to achieve success and others turning out to be flops.
