Gotham has managed to bring almost every kind of Batman villain to the small screen, and with the show gearing up for its last season, it looks like they're going to be bringing in the mutant gang from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

What I'm curious about is, at what point in the Gotham timeline this is going to take. Since this is the final season, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a flash forward episode of a Gotham that has had Batman for a number of years already.
It's worth noting that the Mutants here also look a tad ‘futuristic,' then again, this show is full of so many kooks, I wouldn't be surprised if someone with a metal Mohawk and a Cyclops visor existed in the present day timeline.

Hopefully we get some answers come the trailer for the fifth season. Catch Gotham 5 when it premieres sometime next year.
