Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Feels Fan’s Anger Against The Netflix Cancellation

Marvel fans were in a state of shock last year when Netflix decided to cancel quite a number of its Marvel TV series including Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and most surprisingly, the critically-acclaimed Daredevil. Viewers started various petitions and campaigns asking Netflix to reconsider their cancellations, and it looks like Marvel's Daredevil himself is pushing for the #SaveDaredevil petition to reach the streaming giant.

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox just recently spoke in an interview with ComicBook.com, and during his discussion with the publication, the Marvel TV star was asked whether he had a message for all the fans supporting him at #SaveDaredevil.

Not only does Cox thanks his fans, but he also says he feels the same disappointment and anger that they're feeling over the cancellation of his series.

"Just thank you. Just, thank you, and it's so cool that people care that much, and it's difficult because I love the character so much, I love the show so much that I'm feeling the same feelings. I'm feeling the disappointment, I'm feeling the sadness, I'm feeling the anger about it and I'm trying not to...I don't wanna get my hopes up, because obviously, I know that an online petition doesn't necessarily mean anything's gonna happen, but also, you hope that in this day and age the people who make those decisions do listen to what's going on online and if we make a big enough splash then maybe something can be done."

Now, with Netflix implementing an 18 percent increase in its monthly subscription rates, Marvel fans can feel their blood boil further, some even threatening to leave the streaming site for better waters. Some subscribers joined Netflix so that they could see Daredevil and the rest of Marvel TV's heroes in action. What's the point in staying when Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, are all out of the game and when The Punisher and Jessica Jones are likely to follow suit?

Still, fans are hoping that Netflix changes their mind, rallying behind their petitions and campaigns. You can contribute by adding your signature to the #SaveDaredevil campaign at Change.org.
