Daredevil Showrunner Teases Season 4 Plans For Netflix Series

People are still in shock after the recent cancellations of Luke Cage and Iron Fist. However, Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson is optimistic that his Netflix series will be renewed for a fourth season.

Oleson recently spoke to ComicBook.com about the future of Daredevil after the success of the third season. The new showrunner admitted that he is already looking forward to working on Daredevil Season 4.

"Hell yes. I had the time of my life, man. I had so much fun. If you talk to anybody in the cast and crew or involved in the production, Season 3 was a very pleasant experience for all of us. And we're all very proud of the teamwork that made the final product possible. So yeah, I'm hopeful that I'll get to do it again."

The third season was certainly dark and emotional for Matt Murdock but it also hinted at what to expect in the future. Needless to say, Oleson believes that the success of Season 3 had a lot to do with Matt's ongoing storyline.

"I very much wanted to make it emotionally honest and grounded. Because just to me, that's the best kind of television right now, and we are coexisting in a landscape where there are a lot of really amazing writers doing really, really deep and thoughtful and great work. And I wanted Daredevil Season 3 to be counted as a peer among them."

Marvel and Netflix have not yet announced if the series will be renewed for another season. The streaming giant has previously confirmed that Luke Cage has been canceled, just one week after Iron Fist got the cut. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for Daredevil Season 4.

Daredevil Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
