Marvel's Defenders admittedly stumbled when it came out, but a lot of fans are still interested to see where Matt Murdock's story is going for the third season of Daredevil. A new teaser has been released for the show, and it shows Matt all bloodied and beaten inside a confession booth.
Fans of the show will recognize the black suit that Matt is wearing from Season 1, and I can't help but think that he's somehow he's forced to wear this get-up again after losing his official Daredevil outfit.
It's been said that this season of Daredevil will be based on the Born Again comic, and I think it would make sense that we would see Matt hit rock bottom once again and fully embrace his Daredevil persona. It's also a great callback when we see the outfit that Matt wore for most of the first season.
There have also been rumors going around that there will be a Daredevil impersonator in the upcoming season, and I think it would be cool to see this black outfit from the teaser duke it out with the red Daredevil get-up at some point.
Daredevil has been floundering recently, what with Punisher outshining him in Season 2 and his nonsensical survival by the end of Defenders. Hopefully with Season 3, the showrunners show more of Matt's grounded world—which what appealed to audiences in the first place.
Daredevil 3 comes out sometime later this year.
