Dakota Johnson Shares Experience Doing the Fifty Shades Movie Series
Johnson played the female lead role in the Fifty Shades movie series based on E.L. James' novel series of the same name.
The three films have been known for their erotic theme, featuring several raw and bold scenes between Steele and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan).
In an interview with Vanity Fair, via Fandom Wire, Johnson shared her experience doing the films and revealed the challenges she faced.
"[Erika] [ E.L. James] had a lot of creative control, all day, every day, and she just demanded that certain things happen," she said. "There were parts of the books that just wouldn't work in a movie, like the inner monologue, which was at times incredibly cheesy."

Despite the hardships and issues, the actress was proud of the film's final cut and all praise for James.
"Jamie and I were treated really well. Erika is a very nice woman, and she was always kind to me and I am grateful she wanted me to be in those movies," she added. "It was great for our careers. So amazing. So lucky."
