A lot of things (mostly negative) have been said about the Star Wars sequel trilogy have been said since its inception but I think most of us, whether some of you would like to admit it or not believe that Episodes VII, VIII, and IX still had their redeeming qualities.

Speaking of the divisive sequels, the trilogy's lead star Daisy Ridley is fueling speculation of a major comeback after revealing on social media that she paid Lucasfilm a visit. On her official Instagram page, the 30-year-old sent fans into a frenzy after posting Yoda's statue from the production company's headquarters.

Unsurprisingly, it led to many believing that Daisy is there to negotiate her potential return to a galaxy far, far away. Well, as much as we hate to burst your respective bubbles, that doesn't seem to be the case.

After her initial post generated a ton of buzz online, Ridley would once again take to Instagram to address the ongoing speculation. While she did confirm that she had lunch with Lucasfilm executives, she immediately dismissed her return to Star Wars, saying that "nothing saucy" is happening.

As it stands, we still don't know what the future holds for Rey, Finn, Foe, and other notable characters from the sequels but the most recent developments over at Lucasfilm seem to suggest that their returns aren't too far away. In case you haven't been following the news, it's been confirmed that Damon Lindelof and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's upcoming film will be set post-The Rise of Skywalker which obviously opens the possibility for any of them to come back.
