Without a doubt, Crisis on Infinite Earths has fans squealing with excitement when the series was initially announced. With Smallville's Tom Welling reprising his role as Superman, people were much more hooked and are looking forward to further information and teasers for the five-episode series.

Being one of the most ambitious TV events ever attempted, fans have been eyeing the production as Arrowverse's crossover. It will surely be a huge hit and will cater to the fans' love for the characters involved.

Marc Guggenheim, Arrow's executive producer, tweeted about the series. The producer was excited because his birthday will be marked with two major events. The day before the production of his series Carnival Row, which will be gearing up for its second season on Amazon and of course, the highly-anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths starts their production as well.

According to Comic Book's reports, Guggenheim will oversee the event. This has been his primary role in Arrowverse since he "stepped down as the showrunner of Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

And while Welling is reprising his role, fans have been expecting his co-star Michael Rosenbaum to return, unfortunately, he did not accept the role. However, besides Welling, Brandon Routh will also be reprising his own Superman from Superman Returns. Kevin Conroy, Batman's voice actor, is also set to play the role of Bruce Wayne. Lastly, the original Robin actor Burt Ward will also be included in the cast.

I will surely be keeping my eye on this crossover and so would the fans; can't wait to see what they have in store for this event as well as the other characters they'll be bringing in soon.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will start with Supergirl on Dec. 8, and continue with Batwoman (Dec. 9) and The Flash (Dec. 10). The whole event ends on Jan. 14 with Arrow and DC'sLegends of Tomorrow.
