Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time Leaked by Taiwan Ratings

So much for the surprise. Thanks to a Taiwanese game rating, of all things, we now know that Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One soon. This is fairly significant since a.) we haven't seen a brand-new Crash Bandicoot game since the 7th generation of gaming and b.) Wrath of Cortex is no longer canon. That's a lot to take in but it does mean one thing; Crash is back baby.

As the box art down below suggests, Crash 4 will be developed by the folks at Toys for Bob, who developed the excellent Spyro Reignited Trilogy. It's weird how Vicarious Visions, who worked on the N. Sane Trilogy, aren't working on it but maybe they'll make a new Spyro game? Either way, we are very happy to see Crash back in action and here's hoping that this new game is a good time.

While we haven't seen any new Crash Bandicoot games aside from the HD remasters, it is worth noting that Vicarious Visions did make a few original levels for Crash Bandicoot Warped on the N. Sane Trilogy. They got a lot of positive reviews from fans so it makes them not working on Crash 4 even more puzzling.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time doesn't have a release date yet, though rumor has it that a Fall date is likely. Let us know if you're gonna pick this up before every new game is only for next-gen consoles.
