Could This Fan-Favorite Character Be Making His Way Back To The MCU In Avengers 4?

Marvel's certainly been trying its best to keep spoilers from Avengers 4 leaking out to the public. However, with the studio working on the film's reshoots, photos and videos have been making their way online, feeding the fanbase with material for their theories.

A new photo that's made its way online features members of the Infinity War sequel's cast and crew, and it looks like the image has sparked speculation that a fan-favorite Thor: Ragnarok character might return.

Gathering together the members of the Avengers 4 team off the film's set at a restaurant opening, this new photo posted on Reddit shows off a host of Marvel's stars, one of which includes the director Taika Waititi.

While most know him as the filmmaker behind Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel fans also know the director for his supplementary role as Korg, the loveable Kronan warrior who helped Chris Hemsworth's Thor escape Sakaar and defeat Cate Blanchett's Hela. Though Korg was noticeably absent during Thanos' attack on the Asgardian's ship in Infinity War, there's been a popular theory going on that Korg escaped the massacre together with Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie and a few surviving Asgardians.

Now, with Waititi among the cast and crew of Avengers 4, fans have been lead to believe that Korg might make another short appearance in the sequel to Infinity War, proving the theory of the character's survival right.

Of course, while it's exciting to imagine Korg alive and well in Avengers 4, fans have to remember that this is all speculation. Waititi could simply be celebrating with his Marvel family.

We'll just have to wait and see whether Korg pops up in the movie or not.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
