Could Star Wars Resistance Move On Past The Last Jedi?

It might not be a surprise for Star Wars fans to see Star Wars Resistance playing on the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens it looks like the animated series might be preparing to overtake the events of the divisive sequel trilogy installment, The Last Jedi.

A Star Wars animated series, the child-friendly Resistance tries to attract more fans to watch the series, promising more and more tie-ins with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now, it looks like the Resistance will eventually overtake The Last Jedi, covering events from the divisive Star Wars movie.

With Star Wars Resistance gearing up to produce its second season, Screen Rant anticipates the inclusion of the events from The Last Jedi and possibly beyond that. For those who don't remember the events during the sequel trilogy's most divisive installment, the Resistance is in a fight for its life as the First Order hunts them down with its massive ships after the rebels manage to destroy the Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens.

The remaining members of the Resistance are put up on a wall as the First Order takes down ship after ship in their chase in space. It'd be especially interesting to see how Kaz and his friends from Colossus would survive the fight with the First Order during this time. Will Kaz make it to see the events of Star Wars: Episode IX? Will any of his friends?

During the end of The Last Jedi, the Resistance's number dwindles to a handful after the First Order chases them across space, shoots down their fleeing escape pods, and then pushes them back in Crait.

What do you think will happen in the next season of Star Wars Resistance?

Star Wars: Episode IX is set for release December 20, 2019.
