Could Rocksteady Announce Its Rumored Superman Game At This Year’s E3?

Rumor has it that Rocksteady has a new superhero game on the way. Now according to reports, that game might be actually based on Superman and that the announcement might come about during this year's E3.

Though the 4chan leak that came out last week was largely ignored because it featured a fake image with assets from Rocksteady's Injustice, the studio just might make the Superman announcement soon.

Game Informer writer Andrew Reiner just recently took to Twitter to add a bit of fuel to the speculation, writing that he loves "the run of Game Informer covers we've had in 2018. Next months is very, very, very cool."

When one fan asked for Reiner's thoughts after posting an image of Superman in the writer's post, Reiner replied that DC's Man of Steel "needs a new cape."

Though Reiner seems pretty coy, gamers do know what the writer's talking about. For those who aren't familiar with Rocksteady and its games, the studio stood out after releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum back in 2009. Though the studio released Arkham City back in 2011 and then closed the trilogy with Arkham Knight in 2015, Rocksteady never really released a fourth Batman video game. Now rumor has it that the video game developer has moved on to creating games for Superman.

If the rumor proves to be true, then we just might get the announcement when E3 starts on June 10. Let's cross our fingers and hope that the rumor is true.
