Could Marvel Be Preparing The Infinity Watch After Avengers: Endgame?

Avengers: Endgame is finally making its way to the big screen, and while many fans anticipate the Avengers' success in the film, there are still many questions surrounding the second entry in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie. Who will survive the mission to bring back those who turned to dust in Avengers: Infinity War? What will happen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the film? What will become of the Infinity Stones?

Though many expect the Avengers to undo Thanos' snappening in Endgame, there's a high probability that the Infinity Stones will remain the same after the film. A new theory by ComicBook.com expects the Infinity Stones to take place in another major MCU event, this time, in Infinity Watch.

Marvel comic book readers very well know that the Russo brother's Avengers movies were inspired by Jim Starlin's Infinity Gauntlet series. If Marvel were to continue the story down the line, we may very well be able to see the Infinity Watch on the big screen.

For those who aren't familiar with the story arc, the Infinity Watch is a new segment where the remaining members of the Avengers split the Infinity Gems among six heroes, making sure that the stones are kept safe so that no one ever assembles a full Gauntlet again.

It seems like an easy task to do in the MCU, though we'll probably not see a full movie by the name Infinity Watch. Still, it seems perfectly reasonable for the Avengers and the Guardians to safe guard the stones.
