In case you've actually been living under a rock the last couple months, a third Ant-Man film has been greenlit by Marvel Studios and it's said to have an overall different feel than the previous films we've seen that featured a more lighthearted tone.
All we know for now is that Peyton Reed will return for the sequel along with lead stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. Other key details about the sequel are still being kept under wraps and unsurprisingly so.
Now, the head of Marvel Studios' visual department Andy Park might have revealed plans to give Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne upgraded suits for the upcoming film. Answering a fan's question regarding the duo's possible new look during his Instagram Live Q&A, Park said: "I can't talk spoilery things, but most movies have new costumes." So... are you saying there's a chance?
Last July, a concept draft which was allegedly drawn by Park surfaced online and it gives Ant-Man's suit several new features — from mini-missile launchers to his own jetpack. It's pretty rad! Check it out here:
Ant-Man is without a doubt an underrated MCU gem and it's only fitting it gets its own film trilogy. And if the rumors are true that Ant-Man 3 will be an even grander offering, sign me up 'cause I'd love nothing more than to see that finally happen!
The film's release date has yet to be confirmed. Both Paul and Evangeline previously appeared in Avengers: Endgame.
