Everything we've seen surrounding the upcoming Monster Hunter movie has been questionable, to say the least. Many fans were worried when a lot of talent from the Resident Evil films were announced for the movie, including Milla Jovovich, and then the first screenshots were shown, which made a lot of us doubt this film's potential. Well, this controversial movie now has a release date and know when to watch/dread its debut.

Sony Pictures (via Deadline) announced that the movie would be coming out on September 4, 2020. While anything can happen, only the most optimistic people would think that the movie looks good right now, especially after those Resident Evil movies. Then again, those movies somehow made money so this film could get similar success, so it's easy to see why Sony would be supporting this.

Let's just hope the movie is better than we think.

Behind our world, there is another — a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, terrifying attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.
