Comcast Prepping For Last-Ditch Effort to Buy 21st Century Fox, Despite Disney Deal

When it was announced that Disney and 21st Century Fox made a deal for the former to buy all of the latter's assets, comic book fans got excited. Fox might have a ton of great properties but the one thing fans want to see is the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It looks like Comcast is trying to make one last-ditch effort to get Fox's assets, despite the already announced deal with Disney. The company previously tried to buy Fox before but that didn't push through. Seems like they have a hard time taking no for an answer.

According to Reuters, Comcast is preparing $60 billion dollars to try and overtake the $52 billion dollar deal Disney and Fox currently has. Whether Fox actually has the chance to accept this is still unknown but it would throw a wrench at the plans Disney has to put these characters in the MCU. Not to mention having ownership over the other properties Fox has.

Only time will tell if Comcast ends up overtaking the deal or if Fox will remain committed to the deal with Disney. $60 billion dollars is a lot of money after all, though it will be interesting to see if Disney will have a counteroffer.
