The production for Matt Reeves' The Batman is well underway and a photo of Colin Farrell has already made the rounds online last week, allegedly revealing the first look at the actor as Penguin. While it is a photo of the actor, it isn't his look as the iconic villain and it looks like he hasn't even started filming for the part yet.

In a recent appearance on The Ellen Show, Ellen asked Farell if he's working on anything right now. "I start something in a couple of weeks," he said. "In London."

Ellen then asked about the grey hair he was sporting in a recent photo that got around. Farrell said it wasn't for his look in The Batman, rather, a way to celebrate that he has finished filming for his last project. As for the actor's next role, he revealed when he'd start filming as Penguin.

"You start tomorrow," Ellen asked. However, the actor confirmed that he doesn't start for "about two weeks."

That being said, fans weren't particularly convinced that he'd dye his hair for fun, but it could actually just be the actor's way of honoring the end of filming his project. Regardless of whether or not Farrell would be sporting his grey hair in The Batman, fans are still excited to see his take on the classic villain.

Aside from Farrell, the cast for The Batman also includes Robert Pattinson as the titular character, Paul Dano as The Riddler, John Turturo as Carmine Falcone, and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

Matt Reeves' The Batman is set for release on June 25, 2021.
