Code 8: Part II Plot: What Is the Code 8 Sequel About?
According to Netflix, in the Code 8 sequel, Connor is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center. He cut ties with Garrett, his former criminal associate.
Connor is forced to help 14-year-old Pav escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King. King uses newly launched robotic K9s to track Pav down, and Connor finds himself reaching out to Garrett for help.
Talking about the story of Code 8: Part II, director Jeff Chan told Netflix:
“In Part II, the story jumps forward five years, landing in the wake of public pressure to reform the police’s use of lethal force. But instead of conceding power, it’s being shifted, repackaged, and resold to the public as a form of ‘change.’”
The synopsis for the film, as provided along with the official teaser, reads:
“In a world where 4% of the population are born with abnormal powers and heavily policed by high-tech robotics, an ex-con teams up with the drug lord he despises to protect a young girl from a corrupt police sergeant.”
Code 8: Part II Cast: Who Stars in the Netflix Film?
Robbie Amell and Stephen Amell will reprise their roles as Connor Reed and Garrett Kelton from the first film.
Sirena Gulamgaus will be playing the teen runaway Pav. Talking about the characters of the sequel, director Chan told Netflix:
“As thrilled as I am to bring back the characters from the first film, I’m most excited to introduce the new character Pavani. Pav is the moral center of this story.
In the dark and complex world of Lincoln City, I want to contrast our characters with someone whose hopefulness simultaneously defines and challenges them.”
