CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD: will+Dress Season 3 may have ended on the seventh of October, but fans won’t have to wait long for the anime to return. That’s because CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD DivineZ was announced to get a January 2024 release date, and it will also bring back the iconic manga group CLAMP.
Details about the DivineZ anime were revealed on the show’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. These include the show’s official logo, as well as a look at the CLAMP-designed protagonist of the new anime.
CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD DivineZ Brings Back CLAMP for New Character Designs
CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD may not be as popular internationally as battle shonen or rom-com anime, but this franchise is big in Japan.
Aside from having many anime entries, the franchise also features a best-selling card game.
Since the franchise was created over a decade ago, there have been numerous anime entries divided into various sub-series.
The latest of these is the D Series which began with CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD: overDress in 2021.
The D Series drew some interest from fans outside Japan as this new lineup of anime featured character designs by CLAMP, the iconic manga artist group.
For the next entry in the D Series, CLAMP is back with more character designs. The first of the new designs is for the DivineZ protagonist which can be seen here:
Calling CLAMP an influential group is an understatement as they created lots of popular titles like Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, Chobits, and xxxHolic, among others.
The group has also worked on character designs for other anime, including Code Geass, an original series that continues to be one of the most beloved shows of the 2000s.

CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD DivineZ Gets January 2024 Release Date
The CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD franchise is one of Bushiroad’s most popular properties as its official trading card game has become a massive hit in Japan.
This card game continues to enjoy a lot of players in the country, and interest in it is maintained thanks in part to the numerous anime titles.
Think of it as something like the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise which also has a card game and anime.
CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD’s D Series began in 2021, and it has since gotten five cours. Specifically, the first entry, overDress, got two seasons. The follow-up titled will+Dress then got three seasons.
Soon, fans will be able to enjoy the next entry titled CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD DivineZ. This series is set to be released in January 2024. More details about it are expected to be released in the coming months.
Following DivineZ, fans can expect three more seasons as the D series was confirmed to get nine cours-worth of anime in total.
