James Gunn's appointment as one of DC Studios' top executives has left fans quite intrigued and over the last couple of months, they've been itching to know what the Marvel Cinematic Universe director has in store for the new (and hopefully improved) DC Universe.

As it stands, nothing has officially been set in stone with regard to the franchise's upcoming slate although Gunn has constantly been teasing fans on social media, saying that they're making the anticipated announcement soon.

This week, Gunn set both the DCU and MCU fandoms ablaze when he teased the potential involvement of his Guardians of the Galaxy cast in his upcoming plans. According to him, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, and Karen Gillan all have a place in his "other job".

Naturally, Gunn's remarks sparked calls from some fans for Pratt to play Booster Gold in the DCU. Interestingly, the DC Studios co-head previously revealed that the beloved Justice League member is one of the characters fans have been dying to see in the franchise.

While some folks are pretty much down with the idea of Pratt playing Michael Jon Carter in live-action, others believe he's not the right guy for the job. The mixed reaction doesn't come as a surprise. Check out some of the tweets here:

To be fair, Pratt possesses the comedic chops and natural charisma the Booster Gold character requires. However, at 43 years old, I think he's no longer suited for the role who's basically the same age as Blue Beetle.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' third and final Guardians of the Galaxy film hit cinemas on May 5, 2023.
