Chris Pratt Confirms Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Starts Shooting Next Year

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been said to be the film that will set the tone for MCU's Phase 4, so a lot of hype is building around the end of the story for the Guardians. Now star Chris Pratt has confirmed that Vol. 3 is set to start shooting next year.

He confirmed it while greeting Mantis actress Pom Klementieff on her birthday:

Now James Gunn has said that he would be fine with more Guardians movies down the line, but he says that Vol. 3 will be the end of an arc for this roster of Guardians. If there were to be a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4, we would probably be looking at a whole bunch of fresh faces, and probably someone else in the director's chair.

[SPOILERS] With Pratt confirming that he and Klementieff are coming back for Guardians 3, I think he kind of spoils his fate at the ending of Avengers: Infinity War where Star-Lord and Mantis literally disappear. It kind of lessens the stakes of the film knowing that not everyone will stay dead. [END SPOILERS]

For now, we can enjoy the Guardians and their ridiculous hijinks in Avengers: Infinity War. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is aiming for a release in 2020.
