The 51-year-old started as a dancer for Damian Dame. Come 1991, she joined TLC, and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes gave her the nickname Chilli.

The group sold over 65 million records worldwide and became the best-selling American girl group of all time. She even won four Grammy Awards as part of the group.

In 2000, Chilli started working on her solo album after completing the promotion for TLC’s third album, FanMail. She stopped production when her work for her group’s next album, 3D, began.

In 2008, her official solo single, “Dumb, Dumb, Dumb,” was out, and in 2012, she played Tyrese’s love interest in his music video for “Nothing on You.” After eight years, she dropped her solo single, “Body,” to promote her fitness workout campaign.

She also tried her hands at acting, appearing in The Parkers, Single Ladies, That ‘70s Show, Living Single, Strong Medicine, and more. She also had her own reality series, What Chilli Wants, on VH1, joined Food Network’s Rachel vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off, and joined the cast of the movie Marshall.

Chilli Confirms Romance with Matthew Lawrence

Meanwhile, Chilli confirmed her romance with Matthew Lawrence after the latter’s divorce from Cheryl Burke.

“I’ve been with Chilli since 2005, and I’ve never seen her this in love,” her rep, Christal Jordan, told Page Six. “She is glowing. They are really cute together.”

Jordan also told TMZ that from being longtime friends, the two’s relationship turned romantic before Thanksgiving. Hence, they spent the holidays together in Atlanta.

According to reports, Chilli already introduced her new boyfriend to her family over Christmas.
