Admittedly, Star Wars Battlefront II didn't launch with the best numbers, but the good thing is, the game has been getting a lot of important tweaks, and we're getting closer to the game that everyone expected at launch. Players have been clamoring for more trooper skins in the game, and a new update confirms we're getting clone skins from two special squadrons.
According to the Community Transmission on Reddit, we're going to be getting clones from the 41st Elite Corps, and the 327th Star Corps. Here's the official description:
The 41st Elite Corps, or Elite Corps as they came to be known, were a division of the Republic Army that were involved in many iconic battles during the Clone Wars.
Toward the end of the Clone Wars, Elite Corps were present at the Battle of Kashyyyk. Alongside Jedi Master Yoda, they came to the aid of the Wookiees on their home world. Other notable appearances were on Geonosis, where the Elite Corps were sent to assist Anakin Skywalker in retaking the planet.
The 327th Star Corps were known for their distinctive yellow markings on their armor. Led by Jedi General Aayla Secura, they would take part in multiple battles across the Clone Wars. Notably, they were part of the Republic force that were defeated on Quell, despite the arrival of Anakin Skywalker.
Each skin will be available for three classes of trooper, Assault, Heavy, and Specialist, and they will run for 20,000 credits each. There's also an option to buy a bundle for all three classes, and they cost 40,000 credits.
Admittedly, people wanted to see more clone skins come to the game, but for now, I guess they'll just have to settle for these two squadrons. We have been promised an updated road map, however, and fingers crossed it will include skins from other clone troops like the 501st Legion or Commander Cody's 212th Attack Battalion.
Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
