Check Out New Trailer for Netflix's The Dragon Prince 2

Besides developing the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, Netflix is also releasing their new season of The Dragon Prince from creator Aaron Ehasz (who was head writer of the original ATLA). A new trailer has been released for Season 2, and it gives us a look at more of the world of Xadia.

An extraordinary discovery inspires two human princes and an elven assassin to team up on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.

It looks like the story will be kicking off right where the first season ended, and we have Callum, Ezran, and Rayla attempting to bring back the baby dragon that hatched from the egg. We get a better look at a different race called the Sunfire elves. We don't really know how they compare with the Moonshadow race that Rayla hales from, but it looks like they also have it out for the kingdom of Katolis.

While the animation is admittedly not the same quality as Airbender, The Dragon Prince does shine with its amazing world-building. Not to mention, the characters are all very well fleshed out, and you can find redeeming qualities even from the villains.

The first season, Moon had ended with only 9 episodes, and the same number has been allotted for Book Two. Personally, I would have preferred if they gave us a bit more to watch, but I'm guessing they're still waiting on the fanbase to grow before they can give us some more.

Catch The Dragon Prince 2 on Netflix Feb. 15.
