Check Out Gotham’s Take On Scarface and the Ventriloquist

Gotham is already in its final season, and the show is trying its best to cram in all the villains it can before the curtain falls. The next episode, Nothing's Shocking, teases a team-up between the Riddler and the Penguin, and they're both going to go up against a classic villain from the comics, the Ventriloquist.

Check out the first photos of him with his dummy Scarface:

Interestingly enough, the show will not be using the original Ventriloquist from the comics, Arnold Wesker. Here in Gotham, the man behind the puppet is Arthur Penn, who was an accountant that worked for both the Cobblepots and the Falcones. We don't know how they plan to give him the puppet, but my guess is that the puppet is naturally evil and it puts its influence on Penn.

Maybe the show ends with Scarface ending up with the comics' original Ventriloquist Arnold Wesker by the end. But that's just my guess.

Interestingly enough, the part of the Ventriloquist was almost cut from the show with producer John Stephens saying that the characters would only be alluded to via Easter Eggs. Luckily for fans, Fox was gracious enough to give the show two more episodes, allowing for some more time to cover the classic villains.

Here's the official description for the upcoming episode Nothing's Shocking:

Bullock's past comes back to haunt him when he and Gordon investigate two murders at Sirens. Meanwhile, Bruce and Alfred explore the tunnels beneath the city, and Penguin and Nygma's plans to escape are thwarted by the least likely of suspects in the all-new "Nothing's Shocking" episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Feb. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

The next episode of Gotham airs on Fox this Thursday.
