Chainsaw Man is no doubt one of the most popular anime of 2022, so a second season announcement is expected soon. While there’s no official word yet, fans believe that Chainsaw Man Season 2 will be announced at the MAPPA Stage 2023 event.
Recently, MAPPA revealed the details of its upcoming stage event, including when it will happen along with the lineup of shows that will be highlighted.
Aside from Chainsaw Man, popular shows like Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen will also feature stage presentations and special guest appearances.
MAPPA Stage 2023 Lineup Announcement
MAPPA Stage is the studio’s upcoming event that will feature announcements, presentations, and more for its anime lineup.
Typically, this event happens every year, though MAPPA did not hold an event for 2022.
For 2023 though, MAPPA is back with another big event, and seven confirmed titles will get presentations and panel events.
These include six new and ongoing series, as well as an upcoming anime movie.
Specifically, the confirmed shows that are part of the lineup include Vinland Saga Season 2, Hell’s Paradise, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Chainsaw Man, and Campfire Cooking in Another World.
All of these shows will feature panel appearances by their main voice actors. Some shows will also feature their respective theme song performers.
Aside from these, an upcoming anime film by director Sunao Katabuchi (of In This Corner of the World fame) will be revealed there.

Chainsaw Man Season 2 Possible Announcement at MAPPA’s Stage Event
The first season of Chainsaw Man was announced back in late 2020, though its first trailer was shown at the MAPPA Stage 2021 event.
This initial trailer got a lot of attention from both manga fans as well as shonen viewers in general for its impressive style.
Given that MAPPA’s annual stage event saw the release of the anime’s first trailer, many are anticipating a Season 2 reveal to happen at the 2023 event.
This makes sense given that the Chainsaw Man panel will feature the show’s four main stars.
Another theory is that Season 2 will be officially revealed at the mysterious May 20 fan event.
For now, there’s no official word yet on a Season 2 reveal, but if it does get announced, chances are that it will happen sometime this May.
MAPPA’s Stage 2023 event will happen in Japan on May 21, 2023.
