The first anime season of 2024 is finally here, and with it comes the premiere of many new titles this week. One of these new shows is Chained Soldier, which was recently confirmed to get an uncensored version release in English.
As this series is based on a notable ecchi title, the uncensored version getting released outside of Japan should be great news for readers of the manga.
After all, it will be streamed on a platform that should be familiar to most US fans.
What is surprising about the anime is that it’s being worked on by a studio that’s not exactly known for working on shows in this genre.
Seven Arcs’ Newest Anime Is a Popular Dark Fantasy Ecchi Series
Chained Soldier is an ongoing manga in Shonen Jump+ which began back in 2019. Since then, the series has become quite popular on the platform, though it’s not for everyone given its rather explicit scenes.
Back in 2021, it was revealed that this series is being produced by Seven Arcs, the same studio behind shows such as Fly Me to the Moon and Blue Period.
Looking at the studio’s works over the past years, probably no one expected them to be the team to tackle this Jump+ dark fantasy action series. Thus, it’ll be interesting to see how the studio will pull it off.
What we know for sure is that this upcoming series will get an uncensored version that will be released on a popular anime platform in the US.

Chained Soldier Uncensored Version: Where to Watch in English
Previously, HIDIVE revealed that it will stream Chained Soldier as part of its Winter 24 lineup alongside shows such as The Dangers in My Heart Season 2.
With the show’s release just days away, HIDIVE revealed that it will stream the Chained Soldier uncensored version on the platform with no delays.
There were no details revealed about what to expect regarding the uncensored version.
For reference, HIDIVE shared some specific info about the Gushing Over Magical Girls uncensored version, which will also stream on the platform.
Even without the full details, fans in the US and other select regions can at least look forward to the show’s “complete” version on HIDIVE when it premieres on January 4 at 10:00 AM EST / 7:00 AM PST.
Along with this series, HIDIVE will also stream other notable titles in the Winter 24 season such as My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered and the continuation of Ragna Crimson.
